Even though Tate’s almost 16 months, these pictures are from the past month. When I stopped doing monthly posts I meant to at least keep doing quarterly posts so we can remember what the little man was up to during these times. Tate is continuing to grow and change at such a rapid pace…we are daily amazed at what he is learning and doing. He now understands most of what we say to him, can follow instructions (though not always “listen” !) and is more and more savvy at communicating. He knows quite a few baby signs (more, all done, eat, bubbles, brush teeth, thank you, please, etc) and can also say a bunch of words. Some of his regulars are mama, dada, ball, hi, bye-bye, night-night, more, cheese, papa, mimi, bubbles, eat….he tries to repeat many words we say to him as well. He just started walking within the past two weeks and is loving his new skill. He’s adorable and hilarious as he toddles around with a proud look on his face.
Little stinker is usually up to some kind of antics, including: standing up in the tub and making huge splashes with one leg, dipping his toothbrush in the toilet (happened one time only;), opening cereal boxes and dumping contents on the floor, throwing shoes into the trashcan, eating mud, sand, sticks and rocks, eating paper, eating everything, putting pieces of food on top of his head, searching for belly buttons and tickling bellies, pushing buttons, giving kisses (mmmm!), “pretend” sleeping on his high chair tray (night-night! and then laying his head down), attempting to pick up and move around large and heavy objects, “driving” any type of vehicle or steering wheel he can find while saying “vrooooommmm!”.
